Corporate Golf Clubs Frequently Asked Questions

Who are Corporate Golf Clubs?

Corporate Golf Clubs is a trading company owned by Pro GAME UK Ltd. We specialise in corporate sponsorship acquisition, whereby we help connect businesses to golf.  We help save businesses up to 80% off their corporate golfing, whilst promoting their services to the golf community and offering the ability to network with other like-minded golfers though our online networking portal.

We are the number 1 directory to search, book and save across the UK for Corporate Golfing deals.

Please contact us for further information.

How much does it cost?

With annual Flexi Corporate Golf Memberships starting from just £399, joining Corporate Golf Clubs can often work out more cost effective than becoming a Golf Club Member.

Each Golf Club has different costings based on the Golf Clubs membership fees, but on average we provide 5 times our cost back in golfing vouchers, saving on average 80% off your annual golfing package.

This makes becoming a Corporate Golf Clubs Member ideal for business owners who don’t have time to make use of normal golf memberships that are offered directly at golf clubs.

However, you additionally have the benefit that as we gift the golf out as a thank you for placing a advert at the course, you can claim 100% of the cost via your accounting books.

We offer 1 year or 2 year packages, with prices starting from as little as £399 plus VAT. Our 2-year deals offer the most cost savings.

We can discuss you sharing the annual Flexi Corporate Membership with a friend or other business owner to help you further cut the cost of your golfing.

How do I pay for my golf package?

A majority of our Flexi Corporate Golf Members choose our 2-year deals, as they offer the most cost savings. This requires one upfront payment to cover the two years.

Alternatively, we offer a 1-year package and, in some circumstances we can accept payment either over a 3 month period or (for an extra charge) a monthly payment.

Our sales team will discuss options with you to ascertain the best financial option for you.

Can I share my cost of my golf package?

Yes, you can share the cost of your golf package, because the golf vouchers come either in four-balls or two-balls option and as golf is a social game, we have many customers who decide to split the cost with friends or other business owners.

How many golfing vouchers do I get?

The number of vouchers and number of rounds varies, depending on the T&Cs with your chosen Golf Club, but typically will be either 24 x Four-ball vouchers, valid all year round, or 48 x Two-ball vouchers, with half being valid for summer and half for winter.

Please contact us for further information.

Can you explain the voucher system – four ball system and two ball system?

The voucher system varies depending on the terms and conditions at your chosen Golf Club, but generally will involve either 24 x Four-ball vouchers, valid all year round, or 48 x Two-ball vouchers, with half being valid for summer and half for winter.

It is not possible to have a mixture of the two. We will discuss with you which option is best for your circumstances.

What are the benefits of Golf Networking?

Golf networking is a great way to build relationships with other professionals and with potential clients/customers.

It provides an opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas, and build relationships that can lead to future business opportunities.

Golf networking also allows you to practice your golf skills and have fun while doing it.

Please contact us for further information.

What can I use the golfing vouchers for, apart from playing golf myself?

Golf is often used as a way to build relationships and network with potential business partners or clients/customers.

One option to maximise this opportunity is to use multiple golfing vouchers at once (check the T&Cs of your chosen Golf Club) to hold a Golf Day, typically allowing you to invite 12 to 32 people along to enjoy a round of golf and some hospitality, courtesy of your company.

The golfing vouchers can also be used as a way to reward employees or celebrate successes.

Or you could gift vouchers to say thank you to an existing client, impress a prospective one, or donate for a worthy cause.

All of these options mean golf and business is a great mix.

Please contact us for further information.

What are the tee sign adverts?

Tee sign adverts are aluminium panels that sit on the bottom of twin-posted tee signs.

These tee signs include relevant information that golfers require to make their best shot possible, such as a map of the hole, Par and Stroke Index information, and the yardage of each hole.

Beneath this critical information, we can present your company details on a tee sign advert, typically 580 mm x 130 mm (sizes do vary. Check chosen Golf Club T&Cs) which will be seen by all golfers who visit the course.

Please contact us for further information.

What are the different levels of tee sign adverts?

We offer 3 different levels of tee sign adverts:

Standard – these tend to be par 4 or 5 tees. The cheapest option for advertising your business, whilst also benefitting from the golfing vouchers.

Preferred – typically par 3, dogleg or water hazard tees. Players spend an extended period on these tees, sometimes there is even a queue, meaning more opportunity for visibility for your business advert.

Premium – Prestige locations including tees 1 and 18, any close to the Clubhouse and signs such as the Welcome, Course Information, Course Map and Events.

Please contact us for further information and to discuss the best option for you and your business.

In the UK, distance selling transactions are covered by normal buying and selling legislation, predominantly the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1277). Importantly, consumers are given additional rights by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013 No.3134), known as the “Consumer Contracts Regulations”.

The Regulations came into force on 13 June 2014, replacing the “Distance Selling Regulations” (the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (SI 2000 No.2334)).

These regulations mean you can cancel your order up to 14 days after we receive your order. You do not need to give a reason for cancelling.

How do I dress for a round of golf?

Golf club dress code etiquette is very important and we advise that you always check the dress code of the golf course you are playing at to ensure you comply with their rules.

Here are some general guidelines for dressing for a round of golf, that should ensure comfort, performance and adherence to golf course dress codes:

  1. Polo Shirt or Collared Shirt: A collared shirt or polo shirt is a common requirement at most golf courses. Opt for a well-fitting shirt made of breathable fabric that allows for ease of movement.
  2. Golf Trousers or Shorts: Choose golf-specific trousers or shorts that are comfortable, made of moisture-wicking fabric, and allow for unrestricted movement. Avoid denim, cargo pants, or athletic shorts, as these may not be allowed on some golf courses.
  3. Golf Shoes: Golf shoes with soft spikes or spikeless soles are recommended for traction and stability during your swing. Make sure your golf shoes are comfortable and fit properly.
  4. Belt: A belt can help complete your golf outfit and keep your trousers in place during your swing.
  5. Visor or Hat: Protect yourself from the sun by wearing a visor or hat to shield your face from harmful UV rays.
  6. Sunglasses: Sunglasses can protect your eyes from glare and bright sunlight, making it easier to see on the golf course.
  7. Socks: Choose moisture-wicking socks that are comfortable and designed for golf to keep your feet dry and prevent blisters.
  8. Outerwear: Depending on the weather, you may need to bring a waterproof jacket, windbreaker, or jumper to stay warm and dry during your round.
  9. Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays, especially if you’ll be spending several hours on the golf course.
  10. Check the Dress Code: Some golf courses have specific dress codes, so it’s important to check in advance to ensure you comply with their requirements.

Can I change my tee sign advert once published at the golf club?

We allow for you to have a new tee sign advert produced each year of your Membership. If you require us to amend the artwork or produce new artwork prior to production, the cost will be an additional £50 + VAT.

If your company contact details change or you need to alter your tee sign advert prior to the start of your new year, please contact us to discuss your requirements as in some circumstances there will be a small additional charge of £50 + VAT.

Do I get a proof of my tee sign advert?

Where we have designed your tee sign advert, you will always receive a proof, typically within 5 working days of providing us with your artwork assets and subject to invoice payment.

We will not produce the tee sign advert until we have your approval.

Can I design my own tee sign advert?

Yes, you can design your own tee sign advert. We will provide you with the guidelines e.g.: sizing, bleed, screw hole positions etc. to allow you or your graphic designer to prepare the right layout.

Then when you supply us with your artwork design we will check it to ensure it complies and advise you if any changes are necessary prior to production.

How long does it take for my tee sign advert to appear at the golf club?

Here is the timeline for the tee sign advert installation:

You receive either artwork guidelines (if you are producing your artwork) or a list of the assets we require from you (if you are paying us to prepare the artwork for you) at the order confirmation stage.

If you send us your assets swiftly, we aim to produce the first draft of your advert within 5 working days – often sooner.

Then, once you have approved your advert, or sent us your design and we have checked it complies with our guidelines, we will send the artwork for production.

Production takes approximately 7 to 10 working days, depending on how busy the signage company is.

We will notify you of the date the panel has gone into production and a guideline on the timeline.

After 7 to 10 working days we receive notification that the tee sign advert has arrived at the Golf Club. We then contact the Golf Club to confirm receipt and to agree an estimated installation date.

We then contact the Golf Club regularly to ensure installation occurs on/before/around the date they suggested and keep you informed if there are any unforeseen delays (e.g.: due to adverse weather conditions or greenkeeper staffing shortages).

Once we have had confirmation from the Golf Club that the tee sign advert has been installed we will advise you.

A majority of the time the Golf Club will also supply us with a photo of your tee sign advert on your chosen tee sign, which we will, of course, forward on to you.

Typically this whole process takes around 3-4 weeks.
